MaxiVista turns your 9.7″ Apple iPad into a extra PC monitor with one App

The Apple iPad could very well be the product of the year with it’s popularity. Apple’s only slate device has a large pool of different applications available but this new one from MaxiVista will turn your already cool iPad into an extra monitor for your PC. The performance of the iPad as a secondary monitor can’t be compared to a dedicated LCD monitor but it still does alright. The application works in conjunction with a stand that hold up the iPad and connects the slate to your computer. The App allows you to do everything on the iPad display that any other display would in either portrait or landscape mode. The performance of video playback as you can see in the video above isn’t world class but you should really cut the iPad some slack, being a secondary PC monitor wasn’t even it’s intended function.
