Archos Announces New 7 and 10-inch Android Tablets

Tuesday, Archos decided to release some information on touchscreen Android devices they have slated for release in October. Among those touchscreen devices were two very interesting Android tablets. The Archos 70 and the Archos 101, the Archos 70 is a 7-inch tablet and the Archos 101 is a 10.1-inch tablet.
The Archos 70 will be available for purchase in mid-October for the price of $279.99(Product Page). The Archos 101 will be available for purchase in mid-October for $300(Product Page). Check out the specification highlights for both tablets below.
Some highlights from the Archos 70′s specifications sheet include:
- 7” TFT LCD capacitive multi-touch screen(800×400 pixels)
- 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor
- Android 2.2 OS
- Graphic accelerator: 3D OpenGL ES 2.0
- Up to 256GB of internal storage
- Front VGA Camera
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- Plays up to 720p HD videos in mulitple formats
- Play music in all the major formats
- View photos in JPEG, BMP, PNG and GIF
- HDMI output, USB 2.0
- Up to 36 hours of music, up to 7 hours of videos and up to 10 hours of web browsing.
