If you can remember we posted about Kno a few weeks ago when they unveiled their new dual-screen book-styled tablet. Well the Co-founder and CEO of Kno Osman Rashid has gone a head and detailed the companies plans for a single screen tablet which they plan to offer by the end of the year.
The unnamed Kno tablet device will work like similarly to it’s dual screen counterpart, it will be targeted at students in school. The tablet will feature one 14.1″ display with a resolution of 1440×900 pixels, the display is a capacitive touchscreen IPS display. Running everything will be the Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC (System-on-Chip). Internal storage is set to be about 16GB. The tablet will be running on a modified Linux OS that looks unique, see pictures below.
The Kno Co-founder and CEO Osman Rashid said of the device “From day one, we designed the Kno with flexibility in mind,” and that “We developed the product to have multiple configurations and meet different student needs. The single screen maintains the elegance of our fluid, intuitive interface while capturing the richness and ‘page fidelity’ of the original textbook.”
