Your wait is over if you have been waiting for Archos 70. The Archos 70 internet tablet has been officially made available for order on the Archos website. The 7-inch Archos 70 runs on Android 2.2 Froyo and offers you the option for built-in flash storage or a built-in hard drive for storage.
The pricing for the tablet is based solely on the storage option chosen, keep in mind the Archos 70 comes with a microSD card slot natively. The 8GB flash storage model is priced at $275 and the model with a 250GB hard drive is priced at $350, respectively.
The Archos 70′s core specifications are pretty impressive the only problem is the lack of native access to the Google Marketplace (no phone capabilities with the tablet). Other than you having to get yourself a backdoor entrance into the Google Marketplace the tablet is pretty nice.
The Archos 70 is powered by a speedy 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor accompanied by a graphics accelerator with 3D OpenGL ES 2.0 support. The tablet also features Android 2.2 OS, a 7-inch (800 x 480) capacitive multi-touch display, a microSD slot, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, a G-sensor, a front VGA camera, a built-in stand, USB 2.0 connectivity and a HDMI output.
You can order you Archos 70 internet tablet right now through Archos. [Product Page]
