New reports are indicating that not only is Motorola, LG awaiting Google’s release of Android 3.0 Honeycomb, Dell is also waiting with products to launch. In a twitter update posted on Tim Weber’s –BBC Business Editor– Twitter account he stated the following ” Michael Dell tells me that as soon as Android 3.0 Honeycomb is fully available, Dell will ship ipad-sized tablets”.
As early as last year there was some talk of a 10-inch Dell Streak tablet being in the pipeline. From the statement Weber makes those whispers could very well be true and Dell could have had their eyes set on a 10-inch tablet for awhile now and the new OS is just what is needed to bring the tablet to market. Now the only way we’ll be able to know for sure if that scenario is true is if Google does release Android 3.0 at their upcoming unveiling event on the 2nd because then Dell can do some announcing of their own.
