In late December newcomer to the tablet market Kno announced that pre-orders had started shipping. However since that original announcement there have been some delays and today the company has delayed shipping indefinitely until they get “new information”. The spokesperson from Kno that made a statement did not comment on the cause for all he delays.
The Kno tablets come in two main models a dual 14.1-inch screen model and a single 14.1-inch screen model, with those two models there are different sub-models with different amounts of internal storage with prices starting at $599 for the single screen model and $899 for the dual screen model. All models are powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip, 512MB of RAM and each display is 14.1? WXGA+ (1440 x 900) capacitive touch.
The Kno tablets are geared towards the education sector but mainly at college students. The tablet either the dual screen model or single screen offers an interactive experience with digital text books, in the custom Linux based OS that runs on all of the Kno tablets users will be able to write notes using a stylus or their finger onto textbooks or into a notepad application.
