HTC Plans To Sell 1.5 Million Flyer’s This Year, Gadget Makers Android Tablet

HTC Flyer landscapeHTC is reportedly feeling quite confident about how the public will receive their first Android tablet, the 7-inch HTC Flyer, according to Asian newspaper reports. The Economic Daily News newspaper reports that HTC plans to sell 1.5 million units of the Flyer and make $102 million USD.

The Flyer features Android 2.4 Gingerbread with HTC Sense but shortly after the tablet is launched in second quarter of this year it will get an over-the-air upgrade to Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The tablet also offers a 1.5GHz single core Qualcomm processor, a 7-inch WSVGA (1024×600 pixels) touchscreen with stylus support, dual cameras, HSPA+/WCDMA support and a 4000 mAh battery good for up to 4 hours of continuous video playback.
