Price Leak: HTC Flyer 7-inch Android Tablet To Cost About $730?

Just after we post about HTC planning on moving 1.5 million Flyer’s in 2011 the price leaks out a few hours later. Some very quick bloggers out of Germany have uncovered the new HTC Flyer Android tablet on Amazon.de and it’s priced at 669 Euro or about $730 USD. At the announcement HTC never announced a set price and they only said the tablet would be launched globally in the second quarter of this year.
A quick re-cap of the Flyer’s features; 7-inch WSVGA (1280×700) touchscreen with stylus support, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, 32GB of internal storage, dual cameras, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and HSPA support. The Flyer will be launched with Android 2.4 Gingerbread OS + the HTC Sense overlay but HTC has said they will be offering an OTA (over-the-air) upgrade to Android 3.0 Honeycomb shortly after launching the tablet.
With that price tag it will be very interesting to see if the HTC Flyer does have success or if HTC will have to pull a Samsung and start slowly dropping the price a month or so after launch. Do you think 699 Euro or about $730 USD is too much for the Flyer?

$730? I think the price is going to be to much for me. I think the suitable price for a device like that is about $600 – $650 =)

That’s not $730, it’s closer to $940.
