You should expect it every time, a new Windows 7 slate being marketed towards professionals. The new NEC VersaPro VK15V/TM-C a 10-inch tablet takes it a bit further and adds the word Pro to the product name. Detailed just today by NEC Japan the new NEC VersaPro VK15V/TM-C is as new as new gets for consumer electronics, today is the first time the tablet has been pictured/detailed.
Pictured above this tablet PC doesn’t offer the most adventurous design, but then again given the demographic NEC is targeting system looks aren’t nearly as important as system performance. And in the performance department this NEC tablet PC will feature the new 1.5 GHz Intel Atom Z670, yes the first Intel Oak Trail processor, along with 2GB of DDR2 RAM and a 64GB SSD for the OS (Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit).
NEC Japan states this slate-styled tablet PC will be coming to Japan later this Summer. Release information for the US and other markets was not mentioned in the akihabaranews report along with a price for the Japan launch, sadly.
The remaining technical specifications not mentioned yet that are going to be included with the NEC VK15V/TM-C go as follows; Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI, SDHC and a 10.1” screen with a 1280×800 resolution.
