Toshiba Thrive Tablet with modelToshiba’s upcoming Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet is available now for pre-orders on New York based retailer J&R’s online store. The 10-inch tablet is available with two internal storage capacities in Wi-Fi only configurations, an 8GB model is $449.00 and a 32GB model is $579.00. –An earlier product listing from April on the Newegg.com online store showed those two models but a 16GB model for $499.99 was listed too.

J&R a US-based retailer has not only provided pricing for Toshiba’s tablet but they may have just confirmed the name Toshiba plans on using for their tablet, ‘Toshiba Thrive’. The other day we had an article that examined possible names for this tablet. In the article the conclusion was that Toshiba would use the ‘Toshiba Tablet’ name in the US, the ‘Toshiba Thrive’ name in Europe and the ‘Toshiba Regza Tablet AT300′ would be the name for Asia, it seems that conclusion was wrong.

From all indications Toshiba is moving full steam ahead with the ‘Toshiba Thrive’ name for this Android 3.0 tablet. Over the next few weeks more updates on the status of this tablet should start flying in, remember that Toshiba has moved launch of this tablet until later this Summer.
