ASUS UK Has Announced The Release Dates For New Eee Pad Tablets

Asus Eee Pad Slider frontASUSTeK Computer Inc. has already launched their ASUS Eee Pad Transformer tablet in WI-Fi only configurations in the UK market but soon even more Eee Pad tablet options will launch. In a short Facebook Fan Page update ASUS UK reps. stated the 3G ASUS Eee Pad Transformer would be coming to the UK in August along with the 10-inch ASUS Eee Pad Slider tablet.

Asus Eee Pad Slider 3With the launch of a 3G ASUS Eee Pad Transformer the United Kingdom would be ahead once again of the US in receiving a new Transformer models. The first Transformer was released in Taiwan and then in the UK before the tablet was brought to the US market. At this time the ASUS UK reps. haven’t mentioned pricing for the 3G model but expect it to be higher than the $399 and $499 Wi-Fi only models.

Asus Eee Pad Slider 1Now the ASUS Eee Pad Slider is a tablet that hasn’t been released anywhere yet, not even in Taiwan the home of ASUSTek Computers Inc.. The Slider made its first appearance along side the Transformer but it’s release was postponed for specification changes. The new Slider has a Intel Atom Z670 Oak Trail platform chip instead of the NVIDIA Tegra 2 initially promised. Prices have been seen before but nothing official from ASUS after the processor swap.

    Wish they had included a joystick mouse on it. There are times when a mouse is needed. Not sure though if I would go for this over the Transformer anyways. . .
