Toshiba’s Thrive Android Honeycomb Tablet Is Up For Pre-Order, Starts At $430

Although soon a new Android tablet with a user-replaceable battery will be released soon. That tablet is the Toshiba Thrive a 10.1-inch Google Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet.

Prices for the Wi-Fi only Toshiba Thrive are $429.99 for 8GB, $479.99 for 16GB and $579.99 for 32GB. Toshiba has made the tablet available for pre-orders online through their own Toshiba Direct.com website, on Amazon.com, and on OfficeDepot.com.

For the Toshiba Thrive a user-replaceable battery, the latest version of Honeycomb (Android 3.1), Wi-Fi only and great pricing are the only features being offered. Below you can learn about other attributes of this tablet.

    I like many things Toshiba has done with this tablet–standard ports & slots with removable battery. Hopefully those things will become more common in tablets–we’re still a ways away from a fully WiFied world.
