HP TouchPad Multi-tasking CardsThe 9.7-inch HP TouchPad is Hewlett-Packard’s first webOS tablet and it’s also the only the second webOS device launched by the corporation since their 2010 acquisition of Palm. The new TouchPad tablet is one of the first fruits of the acquisition and soon there will be many more tablets to join it.

However for now we should focus on the TouchPad seeing as it’s about to launch for the first time. Just recently HP announced they will bring the TouchPad to the US market on July 1st and expand globally shortly after, but first they assured their tablet would be available for pre-order this month. Right now in the US there are plenty of pre-order options but the only other international location that has pre-orders opened up is the UK.

Amazon.com, Bestbuy.com, Officedepot.com and Staples.com are the online pre-order options available for US buyers at this time. As for the UK there is online retailer Clove (16GB32GB). At each site you can make your claim on either a 16GB Wi-FI model that’s priced at $499 (£399.99 incl. VAT) or a 32GB Wi-Fi model listed for $599.99 (£479.99 incl. VAT).

If you prefer to buy direct from HP they are also taking orders now with plans for shipment in July for the UK and Europe only. To pre-order the TouchPad in your European location just go to your countries designated HP.com website, and head over search for the TouchPad.
