Sprint will be sending a new operating system update for their customers that purchased the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab Android 2.2 Froyo tablet. The new update will begin to roll-out to customers on July 5th and it will bring forth Android 2.3 Gingerbread, according to Engadget who has received an anonymous tip and photo evidence (see below).
The update to Gingerbread will bring improvements for the 7-inch Galaxy Tab that was launched on the Sprint network earlier this year. Some highlighted features for Gingerbread include one-touch word selection and copy/paste, faster and more intuitive text input, improved power management, internet calling, and more control over applications.
