Dell’s 7-inch Streak 7 Wi-Fi tablet is available for the low-low price of £169 in the UK thanks to Dell’s own deal website for the UK named Dell Swarm. The low-price is meant to last forever the price is set to expire as soon as all the stock is drained or when the deal expires in about 4 days.
The Dell Streak 7 is just an okay tablet with an okay price tag (£249) on any-other day, but with this new discounted price the tablet looks more attractive. The tablet does feature the following:
- 7-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) LCD touch screen display with Gorilla Glass for reinforcement
- Android 2.2 (Froyo)
- Qik video chat with built-in front-facing 1.3 MP webcam
- 5 MP rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and Flash
- Stage User Interface — easy access to the stuff you care about
- Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and built-in GPS
- Dual core 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor
- Support for Adobe Flash Player
- 16 GB of internal memory and SD Card slot with support for expandable memory up to 32 GB
- Dimensions: 7.87x 4.72x 0.49 (inches)
Now in reviews the performance of the Dell Streak 7 isn’t up-to-par with the Android Honeycomb tablets but none of those tablets are £169. The only bad thing that the specifications for the Dell Streak 7 don’t tell you is the battery life is only around 3 hours in real-world usage (standard definition video playback with Wi-Fi on and screen tuned to 65% brightness), Dell states the Streak 7 comes with a 2780 mAh non-removable battery.
