The popular Asus Eee Pad Transformer can access the Netflix for Android application with a new software update for the tablets build of Android 3.2 Honeycomb. The update is titled HTJ85B.US_epad-8.6.5.9-20110816 for U.S. based Transformers, but international owners should look for the an update with the numbers 8.6.5.9 included.
According to ASUS Italy the new update not only adds Netflix support for the Transformer but it also does the following:
“This update resolves a number of issues emerged following the release of Honeycomb 3.2. It ‘was held in great consideration the feedback from your users. In particular you can now choose between the cursor in the shape of a circle and the arrow-shaped. It ‘was a way to add compatibility for apps developed for Android. You can enable or disable the keyboard when the dock is connected. And the device will turn on more quickly.”

Hi Eric,
Did you update your Transformer to the latest firmware? (HTJ85B.US_epad-8.6.5.9-20110816) Also are you in the United States?

I get the same message that Eric is getting. I have the latest firmware that TabletMan lists and am in the US. Not sure why this doesn’t work. Could it be the serial number models? I have a B50 tablet with a B60 keyboard.

This is a total fabrication. The Netflix app is not compatible with the Asus Transformer.

Agree with Dave. I’ve been reading every forum/article on the web. So many stories of netflix loading on the transformer. SO NOT TRUE as of this date. it either won’t load or states ‘…incompatible.’ Very frustrating. Don’t suggest it if its not true guys. why say it. I’m still waiting for a truthful statement or forum posts. i don’t mind waiting but don’t lie about it.
