Archos is getting ready to launch their new flagship Android tablets, the French company has announced (PDF) they will start offering those new tablets on September 30th with launch of the affordable $299 8-inch Archos 80 G9 Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet that features 8GB of storage and a 1GHz dual-core processing chip. All of the new Archos tablets will finish launching in October when the higher priced models of the 8-inch Archos 80 G9 and 10-inch Archos 101 G9 Android 3.2 tablets.

When the new higher-end flagship tablets, Archos calls all of their new tablets ‘Archos G9′ tablets, are launched the biggest calling card will be the availability of 250GB hard drive equipped models. At this time Android 3.x Honeycomb tablets have offered at max. 64GB of flash memory storage, but what Archos is doing is offering a slower storage option in 250GB hard disk drives (when it comes to reading and writing data) that offers around 3 times as much storage space (compared to 64GB). If you want the 250GB models you’ll pay considerably more than the base $299 the new range of G9 tablets starts at, the 8-inch version is $369 and the 10-inch is $469.

Another feature that will make the G9 tablets standout against fellow Honeycomb tablets is the 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4 ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processing chip found in the non-$299 models. The Qualcomm chip inside the premium G9 tablets outclasses many of the competing Honeycomb tablets which normally come with 1GHz dual-core processors (most NVIDIA Tegra 2′s).

The $299 8GB Archos 80 G9 tablet will be available for pre-order on September 20th through Archos.com, but the tablet will go into full availability on September 30th. As for the supped up 1.5GHz Archos 80 and 101 G9 tablets those will be coming in October with $329 and $399 starting prices, according to Archos.
