Samsung Series 7 Slate pre-orderHere is a little Monday surprise for all you Windows tablet PC fans out there, three models of Samsung upcoming Series 7 Slate have been made available for pre-order on Amazon.com.

On Amazon.com there is a $1,099.00 model (XE700T1A-A01US) that features a 64GB SSD and Windows 7 Home Premium, another model (XE700T1A-A05US) that is $1,199.00 and features the same 64GB SSD but Windows 7 Professional, and finally the third model (XE700T1A-A03US) is $1,349.00 with a 128GB SSD and Windows 7 Home Premium. The storage capacity and version of Windows 7 is all that really separates the three models that are available for pre-order.

Each model has the following main features:

  • 11.6-inch PLS HD (1366 x 768) LCD, 400-nit brightness, Capacitive
  • Wacom Active Digitizer
  • Windows 7 64-bit operating systems
  • Intel Core i5-2467M dual-core 1.6 GHz (2.53 GHz Turbo Boost)
  • 1x Digitizer Pen, 1x mini HDMI, 1x USB 2.0, 1x MicroSD, 1x SIM card
  • 4GB DDR3
  • SSD storage
  • 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V3.0 High Speed, 3G
  • Up to 7 hours of battery life (Samsung est.)
  • Weight and Dimensions: 0.86kg; 7.2 x 11.7 x 0.5 inches

The Samsung Series 7 Slate PC was unveiled the month before last by Samsung as a tablet designed for professionals and power users not content with Android Honeycomb. The slim (by Windows tablet PC standards) Series 7 Slate features an aesthetic design that is close to what you’d get on an Android tablet, but the tablet does have a big 11.6-inch HD (1366-by-768) so it can’t be directly compared to any Android tablets on the market.

Here is a gallery of product photos to give you an idea of what the Samsung Series 7 Slate is like from all angles:
