Apple iPad 2 discounts made live, save up to $61

Apple made their Black Friday discounts live this morning and buyers can save up to $61 on an Apple iPad 2 Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi+3G tablet. The discounts are $41 for 16GB models, $51 for 32GB models and $61 for 64GB models. As you can see Apple is not following the path that their competitors have followed and offered $100s of dollars in discounts for their tablets this holiday shopping season. However I really don’t think that will hurt Apple this year, since their iPad 2 is still widely considered to be the best tablet you can buy.
Keep in mind that these discounts aren’t limited to the U.S. they are available wherever Apple sells products in an official capacity (physical Apple store or official Apple store online).
For the iPad 2 the engineers at Apple brought the overall size down in comparison to the first gen. iPad tablet released in mid-2010. Also for the iPad 2 the engineers at Apple installed a dual-core 1 GHz Apple A5 processing chip, cameras (one front and one rear), and a gyroscope sensor that enhanced gaming abilities by adding another option for controlling onscreen actions by making in-air gestures with the tablet.
