A few interesting news storys have come out that concern the HTC Flyer 3G and HTC EVO View 4G tablets. Remember now that both tablets are really the same 7-inch Android tablet, but one is Black (EVO View 4G) and each offers a different mobile broadband connection type.
A taste of Honeycomb
For the 3G equipped HTC Flyer owners out there HTC has started to rolling out Android 3.2 Honeycomb updates to their tablets this week, HTC confirmed that the update would be hitting GSM HTC Flyer owners (most of which are in Europe) only on the companies Facebook page, but an update for the Wi-Fi only HTC Flyer was coming soon.
Over the past few weeks now HTC has been getting a bit of attention for their Wi-Fi only HTC Flyer tablet which has been available for the reduced price of $299 at exclusive U.S. retailer Best Buy, however the Wi-Fi only model doesn’t seem to be getting the Honeycomb update and as such it’s still runnign Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense UI customizations.
Upon reviewing the screenshot that was released online to substantiate the Honeycomb update reports it’s apparent that HTC has added their Sense UI customization on-top of the Android 3.2 Honeycomb UI.
Price drop for 4G WiMAX tablet
