Have you been searching for a tablet that is designed for gaming? Were you unimpressed by Sony’s Tablet P and Tablet S efforts which lack physical buttons? Well lesser known maker JXD of China has unveiled a new tablet called simply S7100 and it’s designed for gaming and includes physical button controls that mirror the Sony PSP handheld gaming device.
On their website JXD announces that they’ve done the impossible and included games from all the major sources, and when I say all of them I mean all of them. According to JXD their S7100 tablet will be able to play Apple games, Android games, Sony games, Nintendo games, Arcade games, and Sega games. I doubt JXD has managed to get official consent to offer games from each of those companies, but as of now you should expect to get games from each of those sources when you purchase a S7100 tablet.
The company has released a short walk-through video (with Justin Bieber tunes for sound) that showcase just how their Android tablet works. The photos available online of the S7100 show the Android tablet is going to be running a skinned version of Android 2.2 Froyo OS.

Price wise The Gadgeteer reports the JXD S7100 is being sold for as little as $140USD at this time –small price to pay for the gaming abilities of this tablet.
JXD has told the press that their S7100 tablet is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processing chip that incorporates graphics from a Mali-400 GPU. The RAM offered in the S7100 is a modest 512MB and internal storage ranges from 2GB up to 16GB, according to JXD’s official site. Display resolution for the S7100′s 7-inch touchscreen is gimped at 800-by-480 pixels, if you were wondering. A small camera is also built-in to the front of the S7100 that is 0.3MP and there is a rear camera that’s 3MP in spec.. JXD advertises that there is the option for picking up a Black or White JXD S7100 tablet, it might be worth noting that Sony also offers their PSP handheld gaming systems in both Black or White color choices.
With there being some doubt about the tablets legality I wouldn’t plan on seeing JXD’s S7100 being offered in any major stores anytime soon. If you want one you’ll need to try your luck at websites like isharegifts.com who lists the S7100 for $139.99.
