Low-priced and contract-free 7-inch Android tablet with 3G headed for the UK

It’s very rare to find an affordable Android tablet that also includes some form of mobile broadband support built-in. I expect most companies have stayed away from making mobile broadband equipped low-cost Android tablets due to cost, buying a 3G or 4G modem can be expensive. Also it seems that most manufacturers of Android tablets are assuming that most of their customers don’t want anything more than a Wi-Fi capable tablet due to carrier data costs.
However overlooking what has stopped the flow of 3G or 4G low-cost Android tablets soon a tablet from Chinese electronics powerhouse ZTE is going to be available for UK tablet buyers.
The new 7-inch ZTE V9A Light Tab 2 pictured above features 3G HSPA with CDMA support for 850/900/1800/1900/2100 MHz frequencies, so using the tablets built-in SIM card slot you can connect to just about any GSM network around the world by adding locally compatible SIM cards. Also with the new tablet from ZTE you get a contract-free experience so once you pay for the tablet you own it and you don’t have to pay for any data until you want/need to.
How much is this 3G ZTE tablet? It’s just £234.99 including VAT. That’s right a contract-free 7-inch Android tablet with 3G HSPA is going to be sold at only £234.99 through Clove.co.uk. The online mobile retailer is offering to take your pre-order right now, but they say orders are going to ship around the end of February. If you want the tablet I’d go ahead and pre-order one to make sure you get one, right now it seems that Clove is going to be the only online retail source for the affordable 3G tablet.
But wait, what else does the tablet include for £234.99 incl. VAT?
