Coming of the announcement yesterday that the new Motorola XOOM would come with 4G LTE, Verizon Wireless has today announced it will offer the first 4G-capable version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab too. The new Galaxy Tab will feature 4G LTE connectivity, a more powerful 1.2GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor and a new 5 MP rear-facing camera and although the front-facing camera is still a 1.3MP model.
The rest of the Samsung Galaxy Tab’s specifications will remain the same. The tablet will have a 1.3 MP front-facing camera (the tablet has dual cameras), a 7-inch WSVGA (1024 x 600 resolution) capacitive multi-touch LCD, Android 2.2 Froyo OS and Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support.
At this time Verizon hasn’t announced the pricing or release date but at the XOOM announcement Motorola’s CEO said the 4G LTE would come in Q2 of this year (Verizon and Motorola are pretty much the same company).
