ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Android 3.0 Tablet First Launch In 3 Days

The long-awaited –for some– 10-inch ASUS Eee Pad Transformer tablet is almost here. ASUS has launched today a new highly customized Facebook page just for the Transformer. On the Facebook page ASUS makes it well known that the tablet will be launching in almost 3 days in their home country of Taiwan.

When you first land on the Facebook page there is a live countdown ticker that’s going but once you explore the page somemore you realize that ASUS has ommited the price or date of global release for the Transformer.

Now recently the Transformer has been spotted at the FCC offices here in the U.S. and back at the initial announcement for the Transformer the company did announce this versatile tablet would launch in April or May for between $400 and $700. I can guess the about $400 price would be for the tablet alone and the about $700 figure would be for the keyboard docking system and the tablet together.

However we won’t know for sure until ASUS makes a new official announcement regarding pricing. Right now all that is known for sure is the Trannsformer will come with Android 3.0 Honeycomb as well as the other features listed for you below.

  • Android 3.0 Honeycomb
  • 10.1″ WSVGA (1280×800) LCD with IPS technology and capacitive multi-touch support

  • 16GB or 32GB of built-in flash storage
