Finding a cheap Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet in Canada is difficult and LG Electronics and their 8.9-inch Optimus Pad aren’t going to help either. The 3D inclusive Wi-Fi + 3G LG Optimus Pad is being released in Canada at Rogers telecom on May 17th, 2011 with a start price of $449.99.
The $449.99 price and more comes from a leaked document published by Engadget. To catch the $449.99 price the document state customers will be buoyed to a 3 year data contract. Four other purchasing options do exist but come at higher prices.
For a 2 year contract you will be able to get the Optimus Pad for $529.99, with a 1 year contract the tablet is $599.99, for month-to-month buyers the Pad is $599.99, and finally for people interested in the Pad alone and not 3G from Rogers you will pay $699.99.
Those prices aren’t for those with light wallets. If you aren’t fully familiar with the Optimus Pad and it’s feature set just see the highlights below.
