Update: the page has been pulled from Amazon.

In the near future AT&T Wireless will offer a 4G HSPA+ HP TouchPad on their network, but their pricing plans haven’t been revealed as yet. If you want to get a firm price you’ll need to turn elsewhere, like where a 4G TouchPad has been listed for $699.99 with no contract. Now before getting fumed about that price you should know that’s the 32GB Wi-Fi + 4G model a.k.a. HP TouchPad FB354UA#ABA.

HP TouchPad 4G on Amazon pre-order

The HP TouchPad 4G listed on Amazon.

The listing is only for pre-orders at the moment since HP hasn’t officially launched any type of broadband equipped TouchPad tablets yet. However the price is pretty nice for an off-contract 4G tablet with 32GB of storage built-in. To put the price into perspective lets look at the 32GB Wi-Fi + 3G Apple iPad 2, the iPad 2 with the same amount of storage and mobile broadband without a contract is $729.00 (from either AT&T or Verizon Wireless). The $699.99 off-contract price for the 32GB 4G HP TouchPad doesn’t look half-bad.

AT&T is likely to offer subsidized version of the 4G equipped HP TouchPad so the price can become even more competitive once this tablet is launched. Although at this time HP has only confirmed that the 4G equipped TouchPad tablet will be rolling out in “soon”.
