Not to long ago Seagate unveiled a new storage solution that worked with wireless devices like tablets, they called it the Seagate GoFlex Satellite. The GoFlex Satellite offered users the ability to carry around 500GB of content that they can stream at will to their tablet using the drives built-in Wi-Fi.

However if you had an Android tablet you would need to use a browser-based client to access and manage files that you have stored on your drive, but today that has changed with the launch of the Seagate GoFlex Media App for Android. The new app allows Android tablets to use a tailored app that works without needing to open up the web browser.

Check out some screenshots below of what you get:

Seagate has made this new app available free for download direct from the Android Market, here, but make sure your tablet has Android 2.2 or higher before downloading. If you don’t have a Seagate GoFlex Satellite drive you can pick one up for $199.99 on Amazon or in Best Buy stores.
