GameStop now bundles wireless controllers and games with select Android tablets

GameStop promised earlier this year that they would be getting involved in tablets in some form or fashion, but they will do it with gamers in mind. Some expected GameStop to launch their own Android tablet for gamers, but that’s not what has happened just yet. GameStop has begun selling tablets from a wide-range of manufacturers through their website and inside their retail stores, and for three particular Android Honeycomb tablets the video game retailer has special gamer bundles available for purchase.

When discussing tablets and their impact on their business earlier this year GameStop CEO, Tony Bartel, mentioned that his company was interested in getting a tablet to market with a wireless controller. In their Android tablet gamer bundles GameStop has made sure to include wireless controllers as well as seven digital games.

The controller included in the bundles uses Bluetooth for wireless communication with the tablets and the key layout resembles that of the Sony PlayStation Dualshock controller. As for the games GameStop has pre-installed Dead Space, Re-Load, Sonic CD, Monster Madness, Riptide GP, Cordy, and the Kongregate Arcade App.
