Black Friday 2011 is almost upon us and the offerings that retailers are planning for that faithful day have begun leaking all over the Internet. Just the other day we told you about Staples and their plans to offer the 7″ BlackBerry PlayBook 16GB Wi-Fi only tablet from RIM at the reduced price of $199 (savings of $300) in-store only on Black Friday. Today we’re pleased to report on the tablet related deals for top retailer Best Buy.
Best Buy will be offering their customers $100 off any tablet if you get a Verizon Wireless contract for two years of data (with a mobile hotspot I assume), in addition to that Best Buy will offer discounted Acer and Toshiba Android Honeycomb tablets.
The smaller of the two headline offerings the 7″ Acer Iconia Tab A100 will also be the cheapest. The Acer tablet will set you back $189.99 (reg. MSRP $329.99) on Black Friday at Best Buy stores, at that price the dual-core A100 is a better deal than the $199 Amazon Kindle Fire that you might have heard about.
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 boasts a 7″ 1024 x 600 LED backlight capacitive multi-touch display, the 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage with microSD expansion (up to 32GB), HDMI and micro-USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1, a 2MP webcam with a 5MP rear-camera with LED Flash and Auto Focus, Adobe Flash Player, and Android 3.2 Honeycomb is the pre-installed OS for this tablet.
The Toshiba Thrive 10.1″ tablet will be available for $279.99 in a 8GB Wi-Fi only configuration, saving you $100 off the current $379.99 price that Best Buy charges for the tablet.
The Toshiba Thrive 10.1″ tablet boasts Android 3.1 Honeycomb, a 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processing chip, a 10.1″ 1280 x 800 LED backlight display with capacitive multi-touch, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage with an SD card slot for expansion (up to 32GB), full-sized USB 2.0 and HDMI ports, a 2MP HD webcam and 5MP HD rear-facing camera, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0+HS, Adobe Flash Player support, customizable back plate, and a user replaceable battery.
